I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I cannot believe this summer is flying by so quickly, can you?
I had good intentions of posting these pics last week but life got in my way. What a surprise. I did some layouts for Scrapdoodles as part of my design team requirements and planned to drop them off last Thursday after a fast oil change. I was then traveling up north to visit my family. I would arrive before my parents were home from work and would write a new post, while waiting. It was a good plan... that went off the tracks almost immediately after making it. I went to The Lube Center and was told two belts were frayed and should be replaced... it would take 15 minutes. Okay, well that's IF they had the belts and IF they fit once they came from the parts store 10 minutes away. They didn't fit three times... each time having to travel from the parts store The Lube Center. One and a half hours later, two new belts and I was on the road... 1 mile down that road... a weird noise... a call to my dear hubby and a detour into the McDonald's parking lot. Decision, go back to The Lube Center... but now my power steering was gone. One question... How the heck did people drive before power steering????? Back to the story... new power steering belt defective and totally destroyed... another call to the parts store... NO more power steering belts available until the next day... old belt removed from trash and put back on my car. With assurances that all would be fine. Another question... If the one from the trash was fine... Why did it need changed to begin with??? I'm just asking.(Actually, it was showing wear and if I wouldn't have gone through all this it would probably have broken on a back road somewhere in Virginia). So, after all this I arrived at my parent's home approximately 5 hours after I was expecting to and remembered I never packed my laptop.
So, here we are a week later. And here are the pictures of the layouts I did.
"Tea Time" uses papers from the Fancy Pants line "Beach Babe" and embellishments from "Echo Park".
The next layouts all use papers from the new Authentique line... "Blissful". And I was full of bliss using this luscious paper. I have to admit I'm usually not a fan of yellow but, there's just something so cool about it combined with greys and splashes of hot pink. This layout features a pic of my great aunt Ruth as a child... I love it.
This is my dear friend, Lolly's grand daughter, Madalyn. Isn't she adorable? Thanx Maddy, for letting me use your pictures to scrap.
And here's another one... with some My Mind's Eye mixed in.
And the last one... "Live out Loud" ... that's good advice for all of us.
Have a great weekend!!!
Thanx for stopping by.
Lisa, you show so much diversity in your layouts -- it almost seems like a different person created each one!! Kudos!!!

I love the use of color and metal on your layouts. Too Cool.
