I don't care if you said "no"... if you are here you are going to look. I mean that in the nicest way.
All the new lovelies from CHA have been arriving at my LSS, including the new lines from BoBunny. Have you seen the "Gabrielle" and "Timepiece" collections?? OMGosh... they are beautiful. I had every intention of being "good" and only buying one... BUT a few days later there I was again buying the other set.
I started out by searching my stash (you know you have one, too) for the perfect album. Turned out it was a turquoise Donna Downey book of canvas pages and photo pockets. I knew I'd find something there. I couldn't just use the book as is, so I added some cardboard pages. I added a bunch of paints, glimmer mists, masks and did some distressing. "Voila" a beautiful new album. Of course, I need to add pictures but you can see where I'm going with this project.
The other papers, the "Timepiece" collection is full of images of keys and clocks and even doors and windows. And I love the colors... neutrals with a deep red and black. Vintage family pictures are going to look great with this paper. Once I copy, resize and print them. Okay, It will probably be done in about 2 years.
Anyway, I had to dig deep in my stash for this one... but found an old Rusty Pickle house shaped journal. Perfection. I have learned a lesson about gated journals I'm going to share with you, free of charge (imagine that). If you are adding tons of layers of papers and want the gated doors of the book to close... REMOVE half of the pages and stay away from chunky embellishments (that's a tough one for me). I know a few of them are going to find there way into the book, regardless.
Well, I've spent enough time showing off my latest stuff... it's time to get working on Art on a Limb. Stay tuned in for more info coming soon.
