I left off at Rockefeller Center but the night didn't end there. We walked down 5th Avenue lured by the lights. Saks Fifth Avenue covered in snowflakes
and featuring windows with a steampunk sort of feel.
Cartier all decked out in a big red bow...
Fendi belted and buckled...
Trump Tower wrapped and topped.
We were two tired people with tired feet that had us searching for a cab back to the hotel for the night. The next morning we started back where we left off... Tiffany & Co. I loved their windows, a fairytale filled with paper trees, houses and finally a castle. They were so romantic and delicate. Across the street was Bergdorf Goodman and Van Cleef & Arpels. Some fantastic and mesmerizing windows. I took pics but daylight causes tons of glare. For some great pics check out Fourth Floor Walk Up.
After a quick trip to FAO Schwarz (Yes, we saw the giant piano keyboard from the movie "BIG" and for only $250,000.00 dollars it stayed there), we took a chilly horse and buggy ride through Central Park. We saw the ice rink from the movie "Serendipity" and tons of other movie sites. Then we were off to Grand Central Station. The grand concourse is really beautiful.
Time to start heading back toward Radio City Music Hall... for the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular. Before we got in line, we stopped by Magnolia Bakery for one of the much raved about cupcakes... they didn't disappoint. And the show was spectacular and ended with a beautiful Nativity scene, complete with live camels, sheep and other animals.
